Overview

Move, copy and clean a WordPress database

The database is copied in small batches that adapt to your server, and a job can be paused and resumed. An import is built in temporary tables and switched in with one step, after a rollback snapshot. A sanitizer turns a copy into a safe staging site.

Where can I get it?

How do I install it from GitHub?

Upload the estasoft-migrate folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or install the zip with the Upload Plugin button on the Plugins, Add New screen. Activate it, then open Estasoft Migrate in the admin menu.

Does it move media, themes and plugins?

No. It moves the database only.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no license key, no locked tab, no upgrade banner and no tracking.

What if an import fails?

An import is built in temporary tables and switched in with one step. If anything fails before that step the live site is untouched.

Does it work on multisite?

Not yet. The pre-flight check stops on multisite.
